Water Color Project

I call this project "then and now". The medium for this project is watercolor. There is a second medium for each page; chalk for the first page, pen and ink for the second, brush and ink for the third, and prisma colored pencils for the fourth. My theme for this project was decades. I chose the 30's, 40's, 50's, and 60's because I feel those time periods really shaped our style of dress today. I wanted to show that the silhouettes that were so iconic in those periods are still reflected in our current styles, so the garments with the dates on the side represent the "then" piece, and the garments without dates are the "now" styles created today.
